Spanish Fritillary Euphydryas desfontanii baetica
The Spanish Fritillary is found all over the Iberian Peninsual and into North Africa. The Eggs are laid on Teasels. The colony where this photograph was taken was in Southern Portugal. Where it was using Dipsacus ferox as a foodplant.
